Zasavica, Serbia

This morning, on the way to Belgrade, through the Macva plain, I noticed an old tree from the car, whose large canopy outlines the shadow in the thick fog. I imagined what that moment would look like if I photographed it with an analog camera. I wished I had a roll of film and some old camera in my backpack. At the same time, I was wondering whether returning to film photography would be a degradation, as well as whether every return would be a setback.

A few kilometers away, I stopped the car and decided to visit the location I photographed a few years ago. The fairytale scene delighted me. I was extremely grateful to have decided to come here again. I realized that I still wanted to have an analog camera on hand.
